Intelligent Signature Loop Controller Technology
The Edwards Signature Driver Controller Modules provide the intelligent interface between the EST3/EST4 Fire Alarm Control System CPU and Signature Series addressable devices. These modules utilize dedicated onboard microprocessors to coordinate, process, and manage communications with Signature detectors and modules through fully digital communication technology. They support advanced device mapping, diagnostics, distributed intelligence, and high-speed communication for superior system performance.
Product Overview
3-SDC1 Signature Driver Card
The 3-SDC1 Signature Device Card is used to add or expand a Signature Data Circuit (SDC). It supports one loop of Signature devices with up to 125 intelligent detectors and 125 intelligent modules. The card is commonly used to upgrade a 3-SSDC1/3-SSDC2 Single Driver Controller to a 3-SDDC1/3-SDDC2 Dual Driver Controller, or to add a second Signature loop to compatible EST3X controllers.
3-SSDC2 Single Signature Driver Controller
The 3-SSDC2 provides one Signature Data Circuit and includes one 3-SDC1 device card. It serves as the communication interface between the control panel CPU and Signature Series devices.
3-SDDC2 Signature Dual Driver Controller
The 3-SDDC2 supports two Signature Data Circuits and includes two 3-SDC1 cards. It allows expansion of system capacity while occupying only one local rail module space.
