Low-Expansion Self-Inducting Foam Branchpipe

The Fire Fighting Foam Nozzle is a professional air-aspirating foam branchpipe designed for the efficient application of low-expansion firefighting foam. The unit incorporates an integrated foam pick-up tube/induction system for direct proportioning of foam concentrate and is suitable for industrial, municipal, marine, airport and emergency firefighting applications.

Designed for reliable operation, high foam quality and long service life, the branchpipe is available in Pakistan-Made and China-Made versions.

CONSTRUCTION

Body

Manufactured from corrosion-resistant material suitable for repeated firefighting service. Aluminium alloy construction provides a combination of strength and reduced weight, while stainless-steel options may be provided for enhanced corrosion resistance.

Foam Pick-Up Tube

Integrated concentrate pick-up tube designed to draw foam concentrate into the water stream and produce an air-aspirated foam discharge.

Shut-Off Valve

Quarter-turn ball-type shut-off valve provides rapid opening and closing of the foam solution flow.

Inlet Connection

2½” (65 mm) inlet connection compatible with the specified firefighting hose coupling arrangement. Coupling type can be supplied according to customer/site requirements.

Actual induction ratio and foam performance depend on the foam concentrate formulation and nozzle/induction design. The foam concentrate manufacturer’s recommended application rate should always be followed.

STANDARD / PERFORMANCE REFERENCE

  • EN 16712-3 – Portable equipment for projecting extinguishing agents supplied by firefighting pumps – Foam equipment – Part 3: Hand-held low and medium expansion foam branchpipes.
  • Performance verification should include flow rate, operating pressure, induction performance, foam expansion and throw/range testing.
  • Where applicable, general firefighting branchpipe safety and performance principles may also be considered in conjunction with EN 15182; however, EN 15182-1 specifically excludes foam branchpipes covered by EN 16712-3.
